Clause 2Your language

Every clause in the language you think in.

The owner and the tenant should both understand what they sign. Make the agreement in English, Hindi or Gujarati, and use the app in any of the three.

Residential Leave and License Agreement

3. License fee

The Licensee shall pay a monthly license fee of ₹18,000 (Rupees Eighteen Thousand only) payable on or before the 5th day of every calendar month, through UPI, to the Licensor or as directed by the Licensor.

4. Security deposit

The Licensee has paid an interest-free, refundable security deposit of ₹50,000 (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) to the Licensor, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged.

What is KARAR?

KARAR is an online platform that helps owners and tenants draft rent / leave-and-license agreements and, if they choose, sign them with Aadhaar eSign through licensed third-party providers.

What does eStamp do?

With the eSign + eStamp plan, the Gujarat stamp duty for your agreement is paid online and the e-stamp certificate is added to it, so you do not need to buy stamp paper. It is available for agreements of up to 11 months and 29 days.

Why does the eSign price change with the number of people?

Every owner and tenant signs separately with Aadhaar eSign, and each signature has a cost. So both eSign plans add ₹25 per person to the ₹499 platform fee. You see the full breakdown before you pay.

Which languages are supported?

You can create your agreement in English, Hindi or Gujarati. The app itself is also available in all three languages.

Which areas do you support?

KARAR works for homes and shops anywhere in Gujarat, including Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Gandhinagar and Bhavnagar.

Is this legal advice?

No. KARAR is a technology platform, not a law firm. For high-value or unusual arrangements, we recommend getting advice from a qualified advocate before signing.

How does eSign work?

After payment, each party receives an email to sign using Aadhaar eSign, one after another. Everyone must sign through KARAR’s eSign flow. Mixing online and manual signatures is not supported. Aadhaar eSign is available for agreements of up to 11 months and 29 days.

Can I use the agreement as address proof?

No. An agreement made on KARAR can be used only as a communication address. It is not proof of permanent address for KYC or official purposes.
